Jackson Forte is a composer, pianist, and accompanist based in the Orange County/LA metro area. He is a recent graduate of Chapman University with a BM in Composition and a BM in Performance, with an emphasis in Piano Collaborative Arts. Upon graduation, he earned the Smith Composition Award as well as the Piano Collaborative Arts program award. During his four years at Chapman’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, he studied under esteemed composition faculty such as Dr. Jeffrey Holmes, Dr. Sean Heim, Dr. Vera Ivanova, and Dr. Louise Thomas.

As a composer, he has written works for the concert stage as well as for visual media. He has collaborated with several young filmmakers to craft scores for their projects. He has also composed pieces for ensembles such as Brightwork New Music and Chapman New Music Ensemble. His music seeks to connect audiences to the natural world and bring awareness to ecological issues across the globe.

Jackson is also an in-demand collaborative pianist and musician in the Southern California area. Well-versed in a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, and pop, he has experience playing with instrumentalists and vocalists alike. He currently is the pianist for the Magnolia High School choir program, and plays piano for gigs and church on the weekends.
